Job Summary:
The Supervisor in Training provides services under supervision of the Training Supervisor and represents the Hospital in all dealings with the public.
In this regard, the incumbent visits patients of all ages, family, and staff, participates in on-call duties, worship services, and other duties as assigned.
They perform administrative duties such as accreditation readiness, PI projects, Pastoral Care management portfolio as assigned.
They function liturgically and sacramentally as able within their own denomination.
They specifically function as a CPT supervisor while under supervision, learning and creatively practicing the art of supervision within credentialing body standards and best practices.
Certification as Diplomate is the goal.
Responsibilities:
Participate in all aspects of the regular Clinical Pastoral Training program to the fullest extent possible spiritually, emotionally, and physically
Conduct and chart spiritual assessment of all patients within 48 hours of hospital admission
Learn and conduct all dimensions related to CPT training, conducting at least two units of supervision as supervisor of record
Assist CPT trainees in their fulfillment of Pastoral Care duties
Supports and participates in the Pastoral Care duties roster and on-call rotation
Participates in worship services, clinical education of interns, residents, and peer support group sessions
Provision of religious rites and rituals to EHS patients
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required
Board Certified Clinical Chaplain/Pastoral Counselor required
Minimum of 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Training (CPT), residency preferred
Strong desire to be a participant in the formation and education of trainees for ministry in critical and long-term settings
