Job Description
The Carpenter is responsible for the proper maintenance and repair of all property and equipment within their specialty.
Essential Duties Possess solid working knowledge and ability to use all tools and equipment to maintain and repair/build all dry wall, hardware/locks, fencing, millwork, ceiling tiles/grid, wood framing forms and furniture construction.
Must comply with all department and company rules, regulations, policies and procedures and internal controls and regulations.
Demonstrate and provides outstanding customer and employee relations at all times.
Present oneself in a neat and clean appearance at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Ability to work with blueprints.
Ability to complete basic math calculations.
Ability to complete various reports and maintain reports.
Work with materials such as wood, plastic, laminates or drywall.
Utilize hand and power tools to repair and erect structures.
Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.
Install cabinets and molding.
Install wall paneling, trim and corner guards.
Erect scaffold or ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
Erect plastic containment barriers for working in occupied spaces.
Establish and maintain a safe work environment, including a clean worksite.
Install structures or fixtures such as windows, frames, doors, flooring, trim or hardware using carpenters hand or power tools.
Prep and finish surfaces such as wood and drywall.
Inspect repair, install, modify and maintain locks and related equipment.
Cuts new or duplicate keys using key cutting machine.
Maintains records of work performed.
Instruct and direct carpenters and other construction helpers.

Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that exists while employees are performing the essential functions of this job.

When on the property or some back of house areas, the noise level increases to loud.

Work/Educational Experience Must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school or equivalent diploma and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the New York State Lottery 5 Years’ experience as Union Carpenter or must have similar work experience.
Salary Range: $43.
